Do you need to activate your new Qonto card? Have you made a PIN code change?
Because we do not want to force you to withdraw cash and don’t want to force you to pay for the €1 withdrawal fee during the PIN activation process, we recommend the following procedure.
To activate your card, the transaction does not have to be successful. In other words, if you enter your PIN code without validating the withdrawal, your card will still be activated!
- If the ATM asks you for the PIN code before the amount, simply cancel the transaction after entering your PIN code. You won’t see it in your transaction history but your new PIN code will be confirmed.
- Otherwise, disable the withdrawal option in your card settings before activating your card. The transaction will appear as rejected in your history, but the PIN code change will be confirmed. You can then reactivate the withdrawals in the settings section of your card.
