What is 2-step verification?

or 2-factor authentication (2FA)

Updated over a week ago

2-step verification, also called 2-factor authentication (2FA), consists in the sending of a temporary verification code by SMS, that is asked in addition to your password, for critical actions (all actions that can directly or indirectly lead to an outflow of cash from your account).

Configuration of 2-step verification is also a prerequisite for configuration of strong authentication, a more advanced identity verification system.

How can I set up 2-step verification?

  1. Sign in to your organization, go to Settings & Tools, then to the Security tab in the Personal settings section

  2. Find the 2-step verification section, and click Set up to get started

  3. Fill in or confirm your phone number

  4. In the next step, enter the 6-digit temporary code you received by text. Do note: this code is only valid for one minute. If you miss it, you can request a new code.

✅ You're all set! 2-step verification is now set up for your account.

💡 For even more protection and for a better securing of your account, we highly encourage you to set up strong authentication!
