In this article, learn how to modify your Qonto plan and/or your billing frequency. You can consult our pricing page to discover all of Qonto's plans HERE. Note that for each Qonto plan, you can choose to be billed on a monthly basis or pay all at once for the year (by choosing annual billing, you get a discount on the amount of your plan).

I want to:

⚠️ Please note, if you are currently on a Company Creators pack or if you are already paying for your plan annually, please see the Specific Cases section at the bottom of this page.

Change my Qonto plan

From a computer

  1. Go to the Settings & Tools section of your Qonto application,

  2. Click on Account Settings, then Price Plan Details

  3. Click on the Change Plan button

  4. Compare our offers via the Freelancers and SMEs and Startups tabs (located at the top left of the screen)

  5. Select the plan of your choice by clicking on the Choose button (be sure to also check the selected billing frequency via the purple switch Monthly or Annual)

💡If you have implemented Strong Customer Authentication on your account, you will receive a confirmation request on your associated phone.

From a mobile device

  1. Go to the More section of your Qonto application, then click on Price Plan Details

  2. Click on Price Plan Details, then Change Plan,

  3. A pop-up window will appear, select the type of plans that interests you

  4. Finally, select the plan of your choice by clicking on the Switch to this plan button (be sure to also check the selected billing frequency via the purple switch Monthly or Annual)

💡Make sure to have sufficient funds in your account before changing your subscription or payment preference to avoid being blocked during the payment step.

Note:

  • Any change of subscription takes effect immediately as soon as the action is confirmed on your application.

  • In case of selection of a higher subscription, you will be charged the difference calculated on a pro rata basis between the initial subscription price and the destination subscription price.

  • In case of selection of a lower subscription, your account will be credited with the difference calculated on a pro rata basis between the initial subscription price and the destination subscription price.

  • However, if you are currently on an annual billing, certain specific conditions may apply (described further down in this article).

Update my billing frequency

The procedure for changing your billing frequency is similar to changing your plan:

From a computer

  1. Go to the Settings & Tools section of your Qonto app,

  2. Click on Account settings, then on Price Plan details

  3. Click on the Change plan button

  4. You will land on the plan change page: here, check the violet switch from Monthly to Annual or vice versa depending on the desired billing frequency

  5. Finally, select your plan and click on the Switch to annual or Switch to monthly button depending on your case

From a mobile device

  1. Access the More section of your Qonto application,

  2. Click on Subscription Details, then Change Subscription,

  3. A pop-up window will appear, select the group of subscriptions (independent or teams) to which your current subscription is attached,

  4. You will land on the subscription change page: here, check the violet switch from Monthly to Annual or vice versa depending on the desired billing frequency,

  5. Finally, select your subscription and click on the Switch to annual or Switch to monthly button, depending on your case.

💡 Switching from monthly billing to annual billing:

If you switch from monthly billing to annual billing during the month, you will be charged immediately for 11 months in addition to the prorated days remaining in the current month.

After your first year, you will be billed for 12 full months.

Specific Cases

Changing my plan after subscribing to a "Company Creators" pack

If you have subscribed to the Basic, Smart or Founder's Pack when registering your company, you can switch to a higher monthly plan.

To do so, please follow the process mentioned above. Once the change is confirmed, you will be charged a prorated amount corresponding to the difference between the two plans.

⚠️ However, if you have subscribed to a Smart or Founders pack and want to switch to a lower plan, as your subscription has already been paid for the current year, you will lose your benefits and cannot be refunded. We recommend that you wait until the end of your 1-year commitment to switch to a lower plan.

💡 If you are currently on a Basic plan and have not yet benefited from your free trial of the Smart plan for one month, find out how to activate your free trial of the Smart plan for one month at no additional cost. More information here.

Switching Plans or Changing Billing Frequency

Choosing a Higher Plan:

If you change to a higher plan, the change will be immediate. You will be charged for the new plan, including a prorated amount until your next subscription anniversary - so you only pay for what you use.

You can immediately benefit from the new pricing and features!

Choosing a lower plan:

If you are on an annual paid subscription, there will be no refund if you switch to a lower plan.

Switching from annual billing to monthly billing:

If you are on your initial trial period, you can switch your plan and billing preference as often as you like without any additional charges.

Once your initial trial period has ended, switching from annual billing to monthly billing during your current commitment period (prior to the anniversary date of your subscription) will not result in a refund for the remaining unused period (for example, if you subscribe to annual billing on January 5th - renewed on January 5th of the following year - and then switch to monthly billing on June 5th of the same year, the amount corresponding to the 6 remaining months that you have already paid cannot be refunded).

💡 We therefore recommend that you wait until the anniversary date of your subscription to switch to monthly billing if you wish to do so in order not to lose any money.
