How to synchronize attachments between DATEV and Qonto?

Automatically synchronize your receipts and invoices with the DATEV Belegbilderservice integration.

How does it work?

Easily prepare your bookkeeping in Qonto: your receipts, and invoices will be automatically synchronized with DATEV. No more toggling between Qonto, DATEV Unternehmen Online (DUO), and your tax advisor. You can now focus on developing your business with complete peace of mind.

Who can use this integration?

All account holders, administrators, and accountants can set up both Integrations: DATEV Umsatzdaten and DATEV Belegbilderservice. All you need is a Qonto and DATEV Unternehmen Online (DUO).

What are the prerequisites before installing the DATEV Belegbilderservice integration?

In order to be able to synchronize attachments between Qonto and DATEV Unternehmen Online (DUO), the Belege online service must be activated by your tax advisor. If it’s not the case, please consult:

How to set up the DATEV Belegbilderservice integration?

From the Qonto web app, go to the Connect section and click on DATEV Belegbilderservice. Simply click Connect in the top right of the page and follow these simple steps:

  • Set your authentication name

  • Authenticate with your DATEV account information

  • Enable Qonto to sync your attachments to DATEV by clicking on Accept

  • Import your history by selecting the date you want to start syncing your attachments. Make sure you validate your selection by clicking on the check mark ☑️ on the right of the date and only then click on the Finish button.

Your integration is now ready! Your Qonto attachments will be automatically synched and added to DATEV Unternehmen Online (DUO) every day at 07:00 am (GMT+1).

How to disconnect the DATEV Belegbilderservice integration?

  • Click on the Connected button, on the top-right corner of your screen

  • Then, click on Disconnect DATEV Belegbilderservice

  • Finally, confirm your choice.

What if my attachments are not correctly imported to DATEV Unternehmen Online (DUO)?

If your attachment history is not imported from the selected date, you have to disconnect the DATEV Belegbilderservice integration from your Qonto account and set it up again by following the steps detailed just above.

Will my attachments and transactions be matched automatically in DATEV?

No automated matching will take place in DATEV Unternehmen Online (DUO). Your tax advisor will have the possibility to link attachments to the appropriate transaction directly in the DATEV Unternehmen Online account.

Which files can be processed by the DATEV Belegbilderservice integration?

For your attachments to be synchronized with Datev Unternehmen Online (DUO), your files must fit the following size and format criteria:

  • We recommend that the size of each attachment does not exceed 500 KB, the maximum size supported is 20MB.

  • The format needs to be either JPEG, PNG or PDF. As soon as you synchronize your documents with DATEV Belegbilderservice, they will be converted to PDFs.

💡 A small file size directly helps to keep your running costs at DATEV Unternehmen Online (DUO) as low as possible. The maximum size for all files in one synchronization process cannot exceed 20MB.

How much of my Qonto account data will DATEV and Riecken Webservice & Application GmbH have access to?

We will not share any of your data with Riecken Webservice & Application GmbH or DATEV without your express consent, which you may revoke at any time with a few clicks to stop sharing your data. Without your express consent, we are unable to ensure the proper function of the integration.
